Awarded by the triple-accredited Grenoble Graduate School of Business (GGSB), and delivered at De Broc School of Business, this course will teach you all fundamental aspects of finance, and provide you with an in-depth knowledge on areas such as corporate finance and financial management. You will also develop an advanced understanding of the strategic impacts financial decisions can have.

Who is this course for?

 

This course would appeal to anyone looking to secure a high level position within the financial sector, in areas such as investment, asset management and consulting. It is also appropriate for current employees in the sector looking to advance in their career. However, as the course is only available on a full-time basis, they would have to be prepared to take one year away from the office.

 

What will you learn?

 

During your first year you will cover all fundamental aspects of finance, from corporate finance and investment to international financial management. Everything you learn in your first year will prepare you for the Final Management Project, which will take place over the whole of your second year, offering you the chance to specialise in a subject closely related to your career aspirations. You may also choose to complete a work placement or internship while completing your final project.

Year 2

 

 

Final Management Project

 

At the end of the taught part of the programme each student will be required to complete a Final Management Project of approximately 20,000 words in length, under the guidance of a tutor.

To successfully complete the Final Management Project, you are required to address a particular research question or knowledge gap in the field of your study.

This should be business oriented and coherent with your programme’s objectives. You may also choose to write your Final Management Project on a topic grounded in your internship experience*.

The Final Management Project is completed remotely and you are not required to be present on campus during the second year of the programme. You may also work whilst completing your Final Management Project.

Entry requirements

 

  • Strong undergraduate degree from a recognised university (assessed by GGSB admission board)
  • English Proficiency
    • TOEFL – IBT: 94 (minimum of 22 in each band), computer-based: 240, paper-based: 587
    • IELTS – 6.5 (minimum of 6.0 in all areas)*
    • Cambridge Proficiency Exam: A, B, C
    • Pearson Test of English (PTE) – minimum of 63

A test of quantitative abilities is required*. You may submit one of the following scores:

  • GMAT - A minimum of 70% in the quantitative section is required (GMAT institution code 0365).
  • GRE - A minimum of 60% in the verbal reasoning section, 70% in the quantitative section, and 4.0 or above on the analytical writing section are required
  • CFA Level 1 exam with a pass grade

*This quantitative aptitude test requirement may be waived at the discretion of GGSB Admissions Board for candidates that exhibit previous academic excellence from top ranked universities or business schools, especially in quantitative subjects.

GGSB MSc Finance is not eligible for Tier 4 sponsorship under the Point Based System. Non EEA nationals with the existing visas should contact The International Visa Office team to find out if they are eligible to join the course.
