This course equips you with the in-depth knowledge and skillset required to lay the foundations of a successful career in marketing management. Your entire second year will be dedicated to the Final Management Project, giving you the opportunity to shape your studies to suit your professional goals. You can also obtain a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing by completing two additional assessments, giving you further competitive advantage.

With the second year dedicated entirely to your final project, you will be able to specialise in a subject that interests you. Please note that you must be eligible to work in the UK in order to carry out a work placement or internship.

 

 

Course structure

 

GGSB MSc Marketing Management is designed for recent graduates and junior marketing managers, this programme provides an excellent understanding of the operational impact of marketing decisions on corporate performance. Beginning in September, you will spend a full academic year (September-June) studying the fundamentals of marketing management and capabilities as well as more specialised topics, with more than 60 hours being dedicated to digital platforms.

The second year of the programme is dedicated to your final management project, conducted under the supervision of a GGSB tutor. This is an applied or theoretical research project that can be completed in parallel with full-time employment or an approved internship*. Students are encouraged to choose a subject related to their future career.

The Final Management Project is completed remotely and you are not required to be present on campus during the second year of the programme. You may also work whilst completing your Final Management Project.

Year 2

 

 

Final Management Project

At the end of the taught part of the programme each student will be required to complete a Final Management Project of approximately 20,000 words in length, under the guidance of a tutor.

To successfully complete the Final Management Project, you are required to address a particular research question or knowledge gap in the field of your study.

This should be business oriented and coherent with your programme’s objectives. You may also choose to write your Final Management Project on a topic grounded in your internship experience.

If you study the GGSB MSc Marketing Management, it will prove instrumental in securing you employment after your graduation. With a second year research project that can be tailored to meet your aspirations, this programme delivers the tools you need to define your own future.

Entry requirements

 

 

• Undergraduate degree at 2:1 or equivalent (e.g 60%) from a recognised university (assessed by GGSB admission board)
• GMAT is not an obligatory requirement, but is considered an advantage and may be required for some
applications (target score 550)
• Only UK and EEA students can apply for GGSB courses

English proficiency options:

• TOEFL – 94 (22 minimum in each component)
• IELTS - 6.5 (6.0 minimum in each component)
• PTE - 63 (51 minimum in each component)
• Cambridge Proficiency Exam: A, B, C

GGSB MSc Marketing Management is not eligible for Tier 4 sponsorship under the Point Based System.
