Our HND in Computer Game Animation is designed to provide specialist work-related qualifications in a range of sectors. This course will give learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare them for employment. The HND in Computer Game Animation also provide career development opportunities within the industry.
On successful completion of the course, you can progress into or within employment and/or continue your study in the same vocational area.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This programme prepares learners for employment in the commercial fields of (Computer Game Animation and will be suitable for learners who have already decided that they wish to enter this area of work. Some adult learners may wish to make the commitment required by this qualification in order to enter a specialist area of employment or progress into higher education.

- Understand the institutional context of creative media production and its influence on production
- Be able to develop and implement a personal project within agreed procedures and to specifications
- Be able to present and justify planned proposals for investigations into creative media production
- Be able to use 2D graphics software tools for computer game animation
- Be able to prepare for seeking employment in the computer games industry
- Be able to create and review career-oriented portfolios of own concept art drawing work.
- Be able to create digital graphics for computer games following industry practice
- Be able to produce playable mods based on gameplay genres using 3D game engines
- Be able to plan and create 3D animated characters for computer games
We equip our graduates with skills for direct progression into careers in a range of areas within the film industry. These include: producing, directing, editing, scriptwriting and camerawork. It is also ideal if you are looking to progress into higher education in the form of professional qualifications or a degree.
Minimum age: 18
Minimum qualifications: UK applicants: four GCSEs (C or above) and two A levels (D or above) any NARIC recognised equivalence

- PTE 51 (min. 51 in each component)
Mature students: (over 21) are accepted subject to satisfactory literacy and numeracy tests, work experience (if applicable) and a strong personal statement.
